Build A Basketball Dynasty Ranked Ladder Update
Named ranks landed in August 2026. Legend is still a tiny club.
On 18–21 August 2026 L3vi Studio’s shipped badges for Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Elite, and Legend. Ranked as a mode was already real — Ranked Victor (first win) dates to 12 July. This update is the ladder that makes the mode feel like a season pass instead of a single checkbox.
What was added

These sit on top of Ranked Victor. You can have Victor without Gold if you won then quit. You should not have Legend without the others in a healthy climb.
What probably did not add
- A new pack year (still 2010–22).
- A documented MMR formula.
- A reset of league banners.
- A Trello.
If your Starting 5 suddenly felt worse, that is other humans, not a silent 20% sim nerf you read on a forum. Test in league against AI. If AI is fine and ranked is not, you found the patch: opponents got serious.
How to play the new ladder
Follow How to climb ranked and the ranked checklist. Short version for returners:
- Fill five positions.
- Do not meme-queue at Diamond.
- Swap one card per losing set.
- Treat Legend as a weekend, not a lunch break.
Team OVR still matters because humans bring Shinies. OVR planner plus Shiny cards are the patch’s real companions.
Population notes
At snapshot, Gold already had more awards than Legend by a wide margin. That is a healthy pyramid. It also means your Elite queues are against people who read the same wiki pages. Bring roles, not a single 99.
Concurrent players around 1.7k is enough to find matches in peak hours. Off-peak, be patient; dodging because a lobby looks sweaty is how you stay Platinum.
If ranks reset later
Sports Roblox titles reset ladders. If Gold badges stop making sense (everyone is Bronze now, or the names change), this page will date the reset. Keep screenshots of Legend. Cosmetics and bragging rights survive even when the ladder does not.
Play the new ranks because they are the first real endgame the studio stamped onto the title after launch. Packs got you here. The ladder is the reason to stay.
What to screenshot besides the badge
When Gold or Platinum pops, capture the Starting 5 strip and the lobby OVR next to it. If a later reset wipes named ranks, those pictures still prove the five that got you there. Legend players should also write the five role words — creator, scorer, two-way, bump, rebound — so a future patch that retunes sim speed does not send you hunting a forgotten hole.
Off-peak queues can take a minute. Do not fill the wait with a random pack that changes the five you just locked. If you must roll, sit in league or the Index instead. Ranked is a set; packs are a session. Mixing them is how a 91 four becomes a 99 scorer duplicate before Diamond.
If the studio later adds a visible MMR number, this page will print it. Until then, treat win streaks as noise and badge pops as the only official rank signal.
